Temporary Employment - Applicant Pool

The Navajo Housing Authority anticipates temporary employment opportunities may exist throughout the year. In an effort to ensure continued program service delivery and departmental operations, NHA is accepting applications for temporary employment opportunities on an on-going basis. 

The applications will be maintained for a period of six months from the date of application and used to establish a pool of applicants for temporary employment as the need arises. Thus, the dates of employment are not known as of the date of this announcement. 

Temporary positions may span a period of a few days, weeks or months not to exceed six months in duration. Temporary employees are non-benefited employees who are hired for specific job assignments typically of a short duration.

  • Program Secretary
  • Clerk Typist
  • Accounting Technician
  • Receptionist
  • Administrative Assistant
  • Office Specialist
  • Accountant I, II, III

Wages are commensurate with the NHA Classification / Compensation Salary Schedule for each position.

Applicants must submit the following documents to be considered.

1) NHA Employment Application
2) Resume
3) College Transcripts
4) Copies of Degree/Certificates
5) Two Letters of Recommendation

All applications and required documents must be received at the Human Resources Division by closing date to be considered for employment.
Failure to submit all required documents and improperly prepared applications shall be considered incomplete. Applications are no longer accepted at the housing Management Offices. In-House (NHA employees) applications are subject to the above provisions and applications must be updated to be considered.
